Theodore A. Kiesselbach served as a faculty member in the Agronomy Department from 1912-1952. He received all of his degrees from the University of Nebraska, earning his PhD in Agronomy in 1908. Kiesselbach was a tireless researcher and author, and was recognized worldwide for his publication "The Structure and Reproduction of Corn", published in 1949 as an NU Experimental Station Bulletin. It became a seminal reference for plant scientists. Kiesselbach's work throughout his career helped pave the way for development of the hybrid seed industry. Source Information:
